![]() ![]() Setup - The basics of getting started with forge_server.Module Description - What the module does and why it is useful. After running Forge once to generate the Sponge config files, shut down the Forge server and open the Sponge global config file at the location config/sponge/nf relative to your forge server.Ī few changes need to be made here. SpongeForge acts as a normal Forge mod, so go ahead and place it in the Forge mods folder. To take care of #1 we can turn to the SpongeForge project, which currently has binaries hosted here. BungeeCord needs to be patched, adding support for Forge servers that can handle ip fowarding since normally this is not possible.Your Forge server needs a mod that adds in support for ip forwarding. Two major changes need to be made for that to happen: ![]() So rather than disabling ip forwarding a solution must be found that allows forge servers to work with this feature. The actual IP forwarding itself is rather useful for IP bans as well. You can't simply disabled ip forwarding - leaving all player data now disassociated thanks to junk UUIDs being generated for all of your players by spigot or craftbukkit. This is an issue if you already have an established network where player's UUIDs are expected to be static. Officially BungeeCord works with Forge servers, but very infrequently is it mentioned that one of the more important features of bungee is incompatible with Forge - "ip forwarding" (which, despite its name, also encompasses UUID forwarding for some reason). ![]() This assumes that you already have a BungeeCord network set up, and for the most part does not cover the configuration necessary to get that going.
